Paradiski is exactly that, a snow paradise for skiers and boarders alike and with 425km of amazingly diverse piste, the possibilities are endless. Montchavin Les Coches is the gateway from La Plagne to the Les Arcs ski area via the Vanoise Express double decker cable car which means the Alpshack chalet is perfectly located if you wish to explore the entire area.

Snowboarding La PlagneParadiski features three glaciers with two peaks over 3000m, providing year round skiing and some challenging descents for the advanced skier or boarder. At the top of the Aguille Rouge in Les Arcs take in the view of Mont Blanc as you prepare yourself to tackle the tricky longest red in Europe, leading all the way down to Villaroger, where you can reward yourself with a glass of the famous MuZig in the Le Firm bar! For those of you who relish skiing off piste, it is in abundance, and if you like an adrenalin rush tackle the breathtaking vertical drop off the north face of the Bellecote Glacier, however we recommend you always hire a local guide for any off piste skiing or boarding. If you have the legs for bumps try the wicked mogul field down from the Bois de Lois lift, which has had our knees crying after!

La Plagne Les Arcs Ski LiftIntermediate skiers will appreciate the large number of motorway runs the area has to offer, and also due to an excellent snow record, the exhilarating powder runs down through the forest just above Montchavin Les Coches. Les Arcs 1600 is an excellent area for quieter blue and red runs, perfect for practising and if you are feeling adventurous take the Mont Blanc lift and try some off piste in the powder through the trees!

If you have never skied before Paradiski is an excellent place to start with gentle nursery slopes throughout La Plagne and Les Arcs and excellent ski schools, not to mention numerous mountain eateries and bars to rest those weary legs. If you would prefer to purchase a La Plagne ski pass only, this will still give you access to a large skiing area with plenty of scope for beginners.

Snowboarding La PlagneSnowboarders equally enjoy the variety of terrain on offer. Les Arcs saw the birth of snowboarding in Europe and boarders are now spoilt for choice. The descents from the Col du Nant should challenge any freerider, once again we recommend a guide, and the dedicated snowparks complete with jumps and table tops should see you honing those halfpipe skills. There are also 3 boardercross circuits and the dedicated run at Bellecote is sick, winding through trees with oodles of jumps and rails along the way. For beginners there is plenty of terrain that is suitable for learning, and once again some really good tuition available. With outdoor sound systems and BBQ sites also available, where would you rather be?
